The 2023 British Ceramics Biennial will run from 23 September to 5 November and is spread across four venues: All Saints Church, AirSpace and The Potteries Museum & Art Gallery in Stoke-on-Trent and The Brampton Museum in Newcastle-under-Lyme.

We recommend you start your journey in All Saints Church, home to our headline exhibition Award as well as the Tactile Project Space.

 

Travel to All Saints Church (ST1 3HH)

From Stoke-on-Trent Station (ST4 2AA)

By bus: 25 minutes

  • We acknowledge that the bus routes to All Saints Church are not very accessible, and there is no direct route. It will not save you time, but it will save you steps
  • Take any bus from the station going into Hanley and get off at the Hanley bus station
  • Take the First Potteries 6 (Park Hall or Coalville) or 6A (Blythe Bridge) bus from Platform F or Traveline 50 (Longton) from Platform G to the Leek road stop
  • From there it is a three-minute walk to All Saints Church (note that you will have to cross to the other side of Leek Rd)

Walking: 20 minutes

Cycling: 10 minutes

Taxi/Uber: £4-6

 

Driving

  • All Saints Church is right on A52/Leek Rd, which has an exit off the A500/Queensway.
  • There is free on-site parking off Leek Road

Travel to The Potteries Museum & Art Gallery (ST1 3DW)

From Stoke-on-Trent Station (ST4 2AA)

By bus: 15 minutes

  • Take any bus from the station going into Hanley and get off at the J1 stop on John St
  • Head back along John St towards Bethesda St
  • Turn right on Bethesda St, and The Potteries Museum & Art Gallery will be on the left

Walking: 30 minutes

Cycling: 10 minutes

Taxi/Uber: £4-6

 

Driving

  • The Potteries Museum & Art Gallery is in Hanley’s Cultural Quarter on Bethesda Street
  • There is free parking at the Tesco Hanley Extra car park for up to three hours
  • There are paid public car parks close by at Clementsons Mill Car Park, Brakes Parking, Pall Mall Car Park, John Street Car Park and street parking on Broad Street

Travel to AirSpace gallery (ST1 4HL)

From Stoke-on-Trent Station (ST4 2AA)

By bus: 15 minutes

  • Take any bus from the station going into Hanley and get off at the J1 stop on John St
  • Head back along John St towards Bethesda St
  • Turn right on Bethesda St, then left onto Broad St, and AirSpace gallery will be on the right

Walking: 30 minutes

Cycling: 10 minutes

By bus: 35 minutes

  • Take the 64 towards Shrewsbury from the Station Road – Signal Radio bus stop on Stoke Rd
  • Get off at the York Street stop
  • It is an eight minute walk from there to The Brampton Museum

Walking: 45 minutes

Cycling: 20 minutes

Taxi/Uber: £6-8

 

Driving

  • The Brampton Museum is located in Brampton Park in Newcastle-under-Lyme just off of the A53
  • There is a small car park outside the museum with 2 Blue Badge spaces and 5 other spaces
  • There are two more car parks at Brampton Park with free 4-hour parking. One is at the end of the drive to the museum, just off the main road, and the other is near the play equipment
