Clay Quarter – a space for exploration and experimentation with the material of clay.
The Clay Quarter is a FREE interactive space that invites everyone to explore and experiment with clay in new and exciting ways. Sound, light and unexpected tools will encourage different types of interaction with clay. The space will be evolving throughout the festival – your activity will influence and inspire the Clay Quarter artists to move, shift, and create to reshape the environment, ensuring something different every week.
Enjoy exploring clay on your own, with a friend, or with the whole family.
Drop in to play for ten minutes or spend two hours (or even the whole day) exploring or experimenting in the Clay Quarter. It may be cold, and possibly messy, so wear warm clothes that wash easily.
Led by artists Joanna Hejmej, Merida Richards and Gabriella Rhodes
This project is kindly supported by Stoke-on-Trent City Council through their Community Investment Fund.
