Stoke Makes Plates: Shop of Your Dreams
Free
A Zoom link will be sent out the day before the workshop.
Design your dream shop front using the architecture of Stoke’s high street as inspiration.
What?
- What would you sell in your shop?
- What shops would you like to see in Stoke town?
- What would your dream shop be?
- Who would your customers be? Why?
The finished designs will be transferred onto a plate in the BCB studio and exhibited at British Ceramics Biennial 2021 in September as part of the Stoke Makes Plates project. We will arrange a date with you to collect your plate once the festival ends. Please let your workshop leader know if you don’t want your plate to be included in the exhibition.
Stoke Makes Plates is a heritage mapping project of Stoke’s high street. Over 150 residents are taking part in plate-making workshops that explore Stoke’s past, present and future. The plates will record people’s experiences from the last two years. Creating a conversation through clay across the city and beyond.
