Ceramics, Memory + Site, with Staffordshire University (Fully Booked)
Ceramics, Memory + Site
This project is a collaboration between the British Ceramics Biennial and Staffordshire University. It involves working with architects and community members to reimagine public spaces using clay as a tool. This is an opportunity to reflect on memories of the Spode site and imagine new futures, in a small group made up of community members who have a relationship with the site and architects.
The architects will be devising architectural concepts for the site based on the ideas generated and sharing the process as an example of different ways of approaching architecture and urban design in a round table event and an exhibition that will showcase the outcomes of the workshop.
Where?
Architecture Studios, Cadman Building, Staffordshire University, College Road, ST4 2DE
What to expect?
In this two-day workshop, you will be working with a small friendly group, sharing your ideas and memories about the Spode site using clay. Wear clothes that are easy to wash.
What will be provided?
Light refreshments will be served, and all tools and materials provided.
Dates
Wednesday 6 July and Thursday 7 July, 10am-3pm.
