Join the BCB Generation project at The Potteries Museum and Art Gallery to explore teapots through the ages.

In this free workshop, we will explore teapots through history, look at their designs and how they have changed through to the modern day. Then you will design and paint your own teapot, which we will fire and return to you.

Who is this for?

This workshop is open to teenagers and young adults aged 16-25.

When?

11am-3pm. Saturday 5th November 2022.

Where?

The Potteries Museum and Art Gallery, Bethesda Street, Stoke-on-Trent, ST1 3DW.

What will I do?

Starting with a curator tour through The Potteries Museum and Art Gallery, we will have a look at some of our favourite teapots, followed by a discussion about how the designs have changed through time. You’ll then have a go at designing and painting your own teapot, which will be fired and returned to you. All materials are provided and the teapots can be posted out or picked up from the BCB studio at Spode Works.

Lunch and refreshments will be provided.

How do I book?

Please email emma@britishceramicsbiennial.com by 3rd November to book your free place. Please let us know of any dietary or access requirements upon booking.
