Vacancy: Communications & Audiences Manager

The British Ceramics Biennial (BCB) is seeking to appoint a Communications & Audiences Manager to join the organisation and lead the development and implementation of a communications strategy to drive BCB’s vision and mission.

About the role 

The Communications & Audiences Manager will be joining the team of one of the UK’s leading ceramics organisations. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious, dynamic and attentive individual, seeking to use their skills and experience to deliver BCB’s values of being bold, accountable, welcoming, significant, grounded, inclusive, connected and collaborative.

You will work closely with the Head of Business Services and the Chief Executive & Artistic Director to ensure BCB maintains and expands its reach and is responsive to new opportunities. You will have a proven track record of successfully leading communications work at a strategic level and be skilled at building profile and relationships. Working on a local, national and international level, you will have a committed interest in contemporary visual arts and ceramics; experience with strategic communications planning; and an enthusiasm for new and emerging marketing and technology developments.

 

 

Role breakdown

Title: Communications & Audiences Manager

Contract: Permanent contract for 0.7 FTE (Average of 24.5 hours per week. This can be worked over 7 full days (7 hours) per fortnight – i.e. recurring pattern of 4 days in a week, followed by 3 days in a week or an alternative mutually agreeable format.)

Salary: £33,120 p/a pro rata (£23,185 p/a)

Reports to: Head of Business Services

Responsible for: Communications Assistant

Location: Based at the University of Staffordshire, Stoke-on-Trent

Summary terms and conditions

Annual leave is 35 days per annum pro rata including public holidays. This equates to 24.5 days per annum including public holidays for 0.7 FTE. The probationary period is six months and the period of notice is two months in writing.
