Heros and Villains in Clay
Free
Artist: Emma Price
The Lodge is a project space where festival visitors are invited to reflect, record and share their views, perspectives and responses. Located in curious spaces, there are writing nooks, test workshops, listening stations, and viewing points for film commissions ‘Over Site’ and ‘In Site’, where audiences interact, create and share with others. As a test bed for audience engagement the Lodge will take place in four evolving iterations as part of the expanded BCB programme.
Transform your hero or an evil villain into a clay figurine with Emma Price during a drop-in workshop at the Lodge project space in the China Hall, Spode.
Emma is inviting people to create their very own Cultural Icon in clay inspired by the Cultural Icon exhibition of contemporary flatback figurines taking place at the Potteries Museum and Art Gallery. Join us at the Lodge to create your very own Cultural Icon, it might be someone you admire, your favourite celebrity or singer or perhaps create a villain or rogue!
This workshop takes place in The China Hall (open 10am – 5pm) with drop in sessions running from 10am-1pm and 2pm-4pm, Sat 21st & Sun 22nd September.
