Associate Artist and Operations Manager
Peter became involved with the BCB in 2010 as a commissioned artist to explore and react to the closed Spode factory site, to exhibit in the 2011 Biennial. Since then he has participated as an artist in 2013 and 2017 festival. Peter has worked as an associate artist for the BCB since 2016 as well as being the lead artist on Cast of Thousands project working with BCB Clay school.
Peter graduated with a BA in Combined Crafts from Crewe and Alsager College of HE in 1992 and Studied for his MA in Applied imagination at Central St Martins in 2008. He is currently undertaking PhD research at Manchester Metropolitan University.
He has run his own studio since 1993 and his practice is wide ranging – from producing his own range of hollowware for retail to large scale public and private commissions.
Peter has worked on the biennial as the Operations Manager since 2017, managing the install and day to day logistics of the event.
