#ClayAtHome Play and Experiment

Play, experiment and explore with clay and different materials found inside and outside the home.

For this Play and Experiment activity, we’ve used ideas from the award-winning engagement spaces from our 2017 and 2019 biennials, the Clay Pit and the Clay Quarter, to recreate fun and playful activities to do at home.

In this video, BCB’s Education Manager, Natalie Armitage, demonstrates how to draw and make marks with clay, and how this can easily be adapted with things you find around your house. Download the worksheet for instructions and more activities, including a building competition with found objects.

Watch our Salt Dough video for instructions on making a clay alternative to play and experiment with.
