Tours at British Ceramics Biennial at All Saints Church
We have a friendly and knowledgeable team who are offering tours of the British Ceramics Biennial at All Saints Church in Hanley. From weekend walk-up tours for individuals and small groups, to weekday tours for larger group tours and schools. These provide a more personal introduction to the installations created by 40 talented artists.
All Saints Church is fully accessible with ramps and free parking to the rear of the church. See below for information on dates and times, and links to the tours that require booking.
Free weekend walk-up tours (no booking required)
We will be doing 12 free 45-minute tours throughout the biennial. These will take place every Saturday and Sunday at 1pm, starting on Saturday 30 September to Sunday 5 November inclusive. There is no need to book – just turn up at All Saints Church five minutes before the tour starts at 1pm. These tours don’t have a cost, but please consider donating.
Weekday tours for groups (booking required)
We welcome all group sizes and there is no need to pre-book if you are 10 or more people. However, if you are a group of between 10 and 30, we do offer 45-minute tours with a BCB staff member, giving you a unique insight into the Biennial. These tours don’t have a cost, but please consider donating. Book soon to avoid disappointment.
School bookings (booking required)
We work year-round with schools in Stoke-on-Trent and would love to work with more. If you are a school in the area and want to have a special introduction to the work of over 40 artists with our Learning & Participation Manager followed by a hands-on making experience with two local artists then email Nat at natalie@britishceramicsbiennial.com. Sessions can be scheduled Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday and last between 90 minutes and two hours.
Community group bookings (booking required)
If you are a community group in the area and want to have a special introduction to the work of over 40 artists with our Studio & Community Programme Manager followed by a hands-on making experience with two local artists then email Jo at jo@britishceramicsbiennial.com. Sessions can be scheduled Monday or Friday and last between 90 minutes and two hours.
